This is a collection of mechanical support videos that specifically related to GUNNAR RAPIDO Computerised Mat Cutters.
Please note:
The GUNNAR Rapido was one of the pioneering models in the range of computerized mat cutters (CMCs), first released by GUNNAR in 1997. This machine marked a significant advancement in mat cutting technology at the time, though it is no longer supported for mechanical spare parts due to its outdated technology.
Additionally, it operated exclusively on the earlier generation GUNNAR SPT32 software, which has also been discontinued.
The GUNNAR Rapido featured a pneumatic tube clamping system and utilized a single cutting head with a 45° blade angle.
It was capable of performing both openings and outer cuts in a single operation, streamlining the mat cutting process.
The machine was offered in two table sizes—Rapido-XL and Rapido-M—allowing users to choose an appropriate size for their specific needs. Despite its obsolescence, the Rapido played a foundational role in the evolution of CMCs within the picture framing industry.
