GUNNAR F1 CMC Description

The GUNNAR F1 was a compact computerized mat cutter tailored for the specific needs of custom framing businesses. It featured a pneumatic tube clamping system that ensured secure matboard placement during cutting operations. 

The machine utilized a single cutting head set at a 45° blade angle, allowing it to perform both openings and outer cuts in one pass, thereby enhancing workflow efficiency.

Blades were inserted using a nylon clip blade holder.

Additionally, the GUNNAR F1 included automatic blade depth adjustment (DBD) capabilities for v-grooves. 

Its modular and adjustable table design provided flexibility in operation, catering to different work spaces . The machine was available in two table sizes—F1-XL and F1-M—allowing users to select an option that best suited their workspace and production demands.

GUNNAR F1 CMC Hybrid Description

The GUNNAR F1 Hybrid was an enhanced version of the GUNNAR F1, incorporating all its features while introducing a new Hybrid cutting head mechanism. This innovation allowed the machine to perform cuts with both 90° and 45° blade angles, enabling it to execute openings at a 45° angle and outer cuts at a 90° angle in a single operation.

Using the automatic blade depth adjustment (DBD) feature, the GUNNAR F1 Hybrid can accommodate any matboard thickness up to 3.5 mm, providing flexibility when using various matboard thicknesses.

This model was available in two table sizes—F1 Hybrid-XL and F1 Hybrid-M—ensuring that users could select the most suitable option for their workspace requirements. 

Its advancements contributed to its recognition within the industry, earning several awards for its design and functionality.
